We need a safe and supportive public school system to support our children in becoming productive members in our 21st Century global community. Removing barriers to learning is essential to developing a thriving and vibrant democracy. Changing the cultural environment in and around schools helps to provide the learning environment necessary for students to succeed.
What you can do:
- Provide resources to support victims of violence.
- Promote strategies that highlight positive interactions between the community of adults around students.
- Develop comprehensive primary violence prevention programs that are embedded in your school district’s programming.
