Sexual Assault Counselor - Illinois

Family Resources is looking for a diverse, innovative and passionate Sexual Assault Counselor.
The Survivor Services Sexual Abuse Counselor will provide comprehensive sexual abuse
services to all survivors of sexual abuse in the identified service area. This position will provide client-centered,trauma-informed, age-appropriate, culturally-sensitive, in-person counseling and therapy to support clients in the recovery process. The Sexual Abuse Counselor will utilize a variety of intervention techniques in order to assist the client in meeting his or her goals of counseling. In addition, this position will provide outreach, awareness, and training to the communities in the areas served to ensure survivors have access to services. This position will provide in-person and over-the-phone crisis intervention and advocacy as needed.

The therapist provides counseling and therapy services to clients that halt, control, or reverse undue stress and social, emotional, or behavioral problems that threaten or have negatively affected the individual’s or family’s stability.

ICADV Volunteer Opportunities

Interpreters in the ICADV Legal Clinic 

The ICADV Legal Clinic seeks part-time, as-needed, unpaid volunteers fluent in Bosnian, French and Mandarin. As a volunteer, you will assist with oral and written communication with a survivor and written translation of applications, legal pleadings and supporting documentation for cases. We welcome volunteers with one-time or ongoing availability.
