February is Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month (TDVAM), a national effort focused on advocacy and education to prevent dating violence before it starts. In recognition, we host the What is Love? Art Contest!

 

The contest is open to high school students ages 14-19 to showcase their ideas of what love means. Entries for this year's contest are now closed. Check back to see the contest dates for 2026!

Entries can be submitted into five categories:

• 2D Art – painting, graphite art (pencil drawing), graphic design, or digital

• Video, Music, and/or Performance: song, dance, or short film (max. 3 min.)

• Spoken and/or Written Word: poem, short story, short essay

• Mixed media – pottery, sculpture, graphic design, architecture, or digital 

• Photography

 

Cash Prizes

Cash prizes - awarded in the form of a check, VISA gift card, or Venmo payment - will be awarded to the Top 3 entries in each category.

• $100 - Top Entry

• $50 - Second Runner-up

• $50 Third Runner-up
