ProACTIVE
aims to center the experiences of men of color and provide an environment that is sensitive to both cultural strengths and experiences of oppression. Groups will be created with these concerns in mind. All races and ethnicities are welcome.
This program was created in partnership with
Dr. Maria Corona, Executive Director,
of the Iowa Coalition Against Domestic Violence.
ProACTIVE was developed by Dr. Amy Zarling, a clinic psychologist at Iowa State University (ISU) focusing on developing and evaluating programs to improve relationships and family health.
Dr. Tera Jordan, a scholar of qualitative methods and community-based participatory research at ISU, will contribute her expertise to the evaluation of this project.
