Domestic Violence Awareness Month
October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month (DVAM), a time for all Iowans to come together, recognize and support the stories and experiences of individuals who have been impacted by intimate partner violence.
Domestic violence is a public health issue that seriously affects Iowa families and communities. We must use our collective strength to create safe communities and ensure everyone can be safe and thrive.
Get Involved!

We invite the community to join us in remembering the names, faces, and stories of victims who have lost their lives due to gender-based violence. Coming in October 2023. More details will be released soon!

Your support can lifeline to Iowa families and communities impacted by violence. DVAM is the perfect opportunity to partner with our team where collectively, we can create an Iowa that is safe and free from violence for everyone.

Connect with your local program and get involved with events, volunteer opportunities, and learn more about the impact they are making in your community.
More updates, information, events, and announcements will be made as we get closer to October. Check back soon and follow us on social media.
