We invite the community to join us in remembering the names, faces, and stories of victims who have lost their lives as a result of gender-based violence. You are welcome to bring a photograph of a loved one they would like to honor as we seek to elevate the stories and names of those that have departed us too soon.
October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month (DVAM), a time for all Iowans to come together, recognize and support the stories and experiences of individuals who have been impacted by intimate partner violence.
This year’s theme, Community Support + Action = Social Change, is an invitation to do your part and support survivors in your community. You can do this through awareness activities, community organizing, resource sharing, attending our
2nd Annual Dia de los Muertos Tribute, or volunteering with your local victim service program.
